The District Improvement Plan includes the vision and mission statement as well as the theory of action and specific strategic objectives for the entire district.
School Improvement Plans are documents which are required for all schools under the NCLB Act. Each report is created in collaboration with teachers, school councils and building principals and align with the District Improvement Plan. The reports identify areas in need of improvment and set goals and objectives to address those areas in need of improment. Each principal presents their schools School Improvement Plan (SIP) to the Northampton School Committee annually.
More Information about School Improvement Plans can be found on the Massachusetts Department of Secondary Education website here.
