Registration Procedure

We are pleased that you are interested in attending the Northampton Public Schools. We are fortunate to have a Central Registrar, Ms. Jennifer Towler, who is the initial contact person for the registration process for all students interested in enrolling in the Northampton Public Schools. For more information and registration paperwork, please go to our Student Registration page.

Ms. Towler can be reached at the Superintendent of Schools Office, which is located at 212 Main Street, in downtown Northampton. Her direct telephone number is (413) 587-1328, email jtowler@northampton-k12.us. If you would like to initiate a registration, you will need to call to schedule an appointment. For your registration appointment, you will need to bring copies of the following documents:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Proof of Residency in Northampton School District
  • Immunization Records
  • Recent report card
  • IEP or 504 Plan (if applicable)

Once you have completed the registration packet with Ms. Towler, you will be directed to the guidance counselor for your student at J.F.K. Typically, you will be invited to come to J.F.K. for a meeting in the guidance office, during which we can discuss your student’s academic placement. This will also be an opportunity for us to answer any questions you and your student may have regarding our school community. For the smoothest possible transition for your student, we recommend initiating the registration process at least one week prior to your expected date of enrollment.

We hope some of this information is helpful to you and your student. Once again, welcome to J.F.K. Middle School.  We look forward to meeting with you and your child soon.
